Chapter 3: A New Student

Why do I like her…? Why am I so crazy about her? She’s so noisy. Killua thought as he was pretending to read his dragon ball z comic while secretly eyeing Miya.
Miya entered happily as usual, as if she didn’t have a care in the world “Good Morning everybody!”
Killua couldn’t help but blush when Miya greeted him as his eyes were diverted to her bouncing breasts.
‘She’s such an idiot…’
“Good Morning Mizuki!” Miya greeted as she was going to give her second best friend, who was studying a hug.
“Pow” Mizuki punched Miya in the face sending her crashing towards the hard floor with a thub.
“Ouch! Mizuki what was that for?” Miya yelled while she healed the lump on her swollen cheek.
“Don’t you ever get tired of this?” Mizuki answered dryly without shifting her position.
Miya stood up as if nothing happened to her at all.  “Of course not Mizuki! You’re one of my best friends!” Everyone in their homeroom class knew that Miya was a cat demon and they didn’t seem to care at all when she healed herself.
Killua stared at her with such longing---her smile, her long strands of lite-brown hair…his face slowly turned crimson. Hiei noticed this and he laughed silently.
Kenshin eyed Killua to find him staring at Miya.
“You know it’s rude to stare Killua.” Kenshin said to his best friend jokingly.
“Shut up Kenshin---and I wasn’t staring at her!” Killua shot back in an irritated tone.
“Good Morning class!” Mrs. Nabeki announced “Today we’ll be having a new student.”
At that instant the whole class became quiet as the long dark-brown haired male student entered.
“Hello there everyone. My name’s Hao Asakura and my main element is fire. I can also control the oxygen in the air with it.” Hao said as he smiled at everyone politely.
Most of the girls started to eye him with hearts in their eyes and giggled.
Nabeki beamed at Hao excitedly “He is a very intelligent student and he won many model awards as well as offers from different agencies because of his figure. He also comes from a noble family just like Zaodelyeck-kun” She said as she stared at Killua.
Killua stared at Hao with great insecurity ‘What are the chances?’ Killua thought to himself as he stared at Hao.
Suddenly Hao turned his dark-brown eyes on Miya for a moment, winked at her and slowly licked his lips lustfully, making Miya blush.
When Hao did that Killua’s eyes turned black with burning jealousy and anger. ‘I’m not going to let you touch Miya!’ Killua thought to himself as he glared at Hao with disgust.
“You can sit there next to Miya!” Nabeki said cheerful as she pointed to the empty seat next to miya.
‘Why!’ Killua was getting more jealous by the minute.
“Hey sexy, why don’t you hang out with me sometime?” Tsubaki shouted making the other girls swoon over him and nod their heads in agreement.
Hao ignored them but continued staring at Miya as he sat down next to her.
Miya greeted him “Hello Hao-kun, my name’s Miya! It’s nice to meet you!” But for some reason she felt like she shouldn’t be too friendly with him. ‘Something’s about him scares me and I don’t like the aura he’s giving off. I’ve got a bad feeling about this guy.’ Miya thought to herself as she stared at Hao with a worried look on her face.
Hao smirked “No my lil’ kitten, It’s a pleasure to meet you as well…”  Hao said as he placed a gentle kiss on miya’s hand.  At Hao’s kind words Miya blushed again, but she still could get rid of the bad feeling she had about him.
Killua was clenching his fists as he watched Hao kiss Miya’s hand, but he could tell she looked uncomfortable around him.
“I need a volunteer to show Hao around!” Nabeki added as she smiled cheerfully.
“Pick me!” “No me!” almost all the girls volunteered, except Mizuki and Kaoru.
Hao raised his hand “Mrs.Nabeki, may I ask if Miya can show me around?” Hao said as he stared at Miya.
“Mmm ...Me?” Miya said with a shocked look on her face.
“Is it fine with you Miya-chan?” Nabeki asked Miya calmly.
‘Say No! Say No!’ Killua’s mind kept shouting desperately.
“Of course I’ll escort Hao-kun around for today Mrs. Nabeki!” Miya said happily, despite her own fears about Hao.
“Aww” Many girls shouted in disappointment for not being Hao’s escort for the day.
‘Just wait till classes are over Hao…I won’t let you lay a finger on Miya!’ Killua thought darkly to himself as he glared angrily at Hao.
As soon as classes were over, Miya and Hao started walking side by side.
Everyone had left the classroom except Kenshin, Kaoru, Mizuki, Hiei, and Killua.
Killua could only watch helplessly as Miya and Hao walked off.
“I’ve loved her for 5 years…now that bastard is taking her on her own free will!” Killua shouted sadly as he threw his head on the desk.
Mizuki patted Killua on the shoulder “It’s all because you’re such a coward!”
Killua fell silent because he knew Mizuki was telling the truth.
“You act tough but deep inside you can’t even stay true to your feelings!” Kaoru added to Mizuki’s statement.
“Kaoru, Mizuki…please calm down…” Kenshin butted-in, trying to protect his best friend. Hiei sighed and he said “No they have a point Kenshin, because Killua is afraid to tell Miya how he feels and he needs to get over it and tell her his feelings before that bastard Hao takes her away from him. Although I doubt she’d go with him willingly.” Hiei said as he sided with Mizuki and Kaoru.
“No Kenshin. Don’t you know that Killua’s made Miya suffer, so don’t you dare go trying to defend him.” Mizuki said as she and Kaoru both pointed at Killua. Kenshin, Hiei, and Killua were shocked-never had they seen Mizuki show her emotions. Well Hiei had but he was still shocked that she had actually shown her emotions in public.
“5 years Killua…you see Miya everyday---yet you treat her just like you had 5 years ago! Like everybody else!” Kaoru said as she glared at Killua with anger in her now red eyes. (Yes her eyes do change color in my story)
“How would you two know?” Killua shouted back in disbelief.
“Because we’re her best friends…” Mizuki and Kaoru answered Killua angrily.
Flashback 6 months ago---
“Miya…I love you…” Kogchi confessed to Miya.
Miya sighed sadly, she knew how Kogchi felt about her, but she didn’t feel the same way about him. “Kogchi-kun…I’m sorry but I just don’t feel the same way about you…”
“I don’t understand…” Kogchi shot back in a confused voice “I am a great athlete and fighter…you’re the only girl that rejected me when I ask them to be my girlfriend.”
Miya remained silent as she refused to look at Kogchi. What he didn’t know was that Miya had foreseen in a vision that he was going to marry Tsubaki and they were going to be happy together, that’s why she was rejecting him, plus she was in love with Killua and she couldn’t bring herself to love anyone else but him.
“You love someone else, don’t you?!” Kogchi said as if he was verifying her feelings for Killua without even saying his name out loud.
“I’m really sorry Kogchi…” was all miya said as she walked away from Kogchi saddened by his clarification about her feelings about Killua.
Another suitor was rejected.
Kaoru and Mizuki approached Miya from the shadows “That’s the 8th suitor you’ve had, and they were all good-looking and popular…” Kaoru said as she stared at Miya sadly. Mizuki merely nodded her head without saying a word.
Miya covered her eyes with her lite-brown bangs to hide the tears. She tried to put up a fake smile. “Oh Kaoru-chan, Mizuki-chan you two of all people should know...”
“Miya…We know you love him but 5 years is just too long…if you don’t move forward you won’t have a love to share it with.” Mizuki added to Kaoru’s statement.
“He is the only one I love deeply u guys…” Miya said as her eyes turned lite-blue from her inner sadness.
Kaoru and Mizuki were now both worried “Why don’t you tell Killua that you love him?” Kaoru and Mizuki said at the same time. Even though they knew that they weren’t really making Miya feel any better.
“5 years you guys…” Mia replied in a serious yet gentle voice “you know Killua ignores girls who swoon over him…I am fortunate enough that he talks to me. Even after all these years, he still treats me like our first year in Kakashi High …if I confess my feelings, he would most probably cast me aside like how he treats Tsubaki and the others…”
“Besides…” Miya added not wanting to remember the past five years” I don’t deserve him…he is way too special for an idiot like me…but I want to continue loving him secretly even if he thinks otherwise because I don’t like our friendship to be sacrificed because of my stupid emotions.”
Mizuki “Miya …as your friends we respect your feelings…but we just don’t want to see you hurt.”
“Please Kaoru-chan, Mizuki-chan, you both have to keep this a secret to yourselves… please don’t tell Killua-kun... don’t even tell Kenshin or Hiei… I can’t let Killua know that I’m falling more deeply in love with him as months pass-I don’t even want Killua to force himself to answer me and suffer in having to bear the pain of love I’ve endured ever since the day we went to rescue him from his parents’ house (I’m referring to the episode where Gon, Kurpica, and Leorio went to Killua’s house to save him), that was the first day he ever called me by my name. Kaoru, Mizuki, don’t worry about me. Killua’s friendship is enough to make my happy!” Miya said as she dashed off avoiding eye contact with neither Kaoru nor Mizuki.
Mizuki “Miya…you are such a liar…”
Kaoru “So now what do we do?”
Mizuki “We have to help her.”
End flashback
Killua was utterly speechless “Miya loves me? Why didn’t you two tell me?” If you both had told her that she wouldn’t have suffered! I LOVED HER EVER SINCE I LAYED MY EYES ON HER!”
Kaoru and Mizuki both turned to Killua “then tell her the words you told me just now. Idiot! Love cannot be expressed whole-heartedly unless you tell her yourself! We don’t have to tell you what to do Killua.” Mizuki said to Killua dully…
“Kenshin, Hiei, let’s go.” Kaoru added as she started to get annoyed by the silence that was surrounding them.
Kaoru and Mizuki grabbed Kenshin and Hiei’s hands and left.
Killua clenched his fists tightly as he stood up “Miya…forgive me for making you suffer!”  Killua thought to himself and with that Killua dashed off to find miya.
After 10 minutes of searching…
Killua found Hao alone, walking with an evil smirk on his face.
Killua hated the guy the first time he saw him, but he decided to take the “non-violent approach” for now.
“Hey Hao!” Killua shouted from a distance, at that time the hallways were empty-they were the only ones there.
Hao turned back to face Killua “What is it?” He asked Killua dully.
Killua took a few steps closer “Stay away from Miya!”
Hao smiled “So you’re Killua Zaodelyeck, the top student from the assassin family that Miya kept talking about as a point of discussion. I was getting tired of that name…”
Killua glared at Hao with pure hatred in his royal-blue eyes that were darkening by the minute. “Where is Miya?”
Hao laughed at Killua mockingly “Why should I tell you?”
Killua created a small lighting ball using his nen ability and he fired it right beside Hao to threaten him “don’t make me ask twice!” He warned Hao in a deadly tone.
Hao never once loss his cool as he stared at Killua “All right Zaodelyeck, you win. I told her that I loved her but that bitch rejected me in a nice way. So I convinced her to just take a day off and go somewhere now to “just have coffee with me.”
Killua growled in anger at Hao’s words “Where is she?” Killua created a bigger lighting ball now “and why didn’t you just go with her now?”
Hao glared at Killua “I came to make you suffer because she picked you over me! Other girls would be willing to sleep with me at any cost, but you don’t have awards for that! You don’t have what it takes to captivate a woman! Can’t you see? Of all the girls that swooned over me I picked her---because it was love at first sight for me as soon as I layed my eyes on her! But if she won’t love me…then I will rape her and make her beg for mercy…”
Killua shouted with uncontrollable anger “I WON’T LET YOU HURT MIYA YOU BASTARD!” Killua threw the lighting ball towards Hao but he evaded it with ease.
Hao did a leap and landed on top of a bench “You know she does have big breasts and long legs that are so eager for me to taste!”
Killua charged at Hao with angry black eyes “I”LL KILL YOU!”
Hao unleashed a wave of fireballs that nearly hit Killua.
Hao laughed “It’s futile Killua…you can’t win! Hahahaha!”
Killua attempted to hit him but Hao was just too fast- he evaded Killua’s blow and punched him in the stomach with fire surrounding his left hand.
Killua didn’t even scream even if the pain was agonizing. Instead he formed a volt of electricity in his hands and managed to burn off the right sleeve of hao’s shirt.
‘What the…he still managed to wound me even after my attack?’ Hao thought to himself in a surprised tone.
Hao grabbed Killua by his back and kicked him, causing him to fall weakly as drops of blood dripped from Killua’s mouth.
Killua was still conscious but leaning weakly on the ground “Please…kill me…just don’t hurt her…” Killua pleaded.
Hao smiled while pressing roughly on his wounded arm “Why would I kill you when I can see you suffer after you find Miya raped by me…even if you find the location…it will be too late!”
Hao whispered in Killua’s ear “You know what? I hadn’t had a good woman lately.” With that he ran off.
Meanwhile with Miya… (Miya’s p.o.v.)
Hao-kun just told me that he loved me, but I told him I didn’t feel the same way. I could tell that his aura had darkened and this scared me a lil’, but I tried to ignore it. Geez, why can’t all these guys just leave me alone? I don’t like any of them. I thought to myself as I sighed. Hao asked me if I’d take the day off and have some coffee with him, just as a friendly thing. I agreed only because I thought it would make him feel better even though I rejected him, but I had the strangest feeling that he wasn’t interested in just taking me out for a coffee chat.* Suddenly my eyes started to turn orange, like they usually did whenever I was having a vision. In my vision, I saw Ryuk attacking the school, along with some other figures I couldn’t identify. I also saw Killua getting hurt. When I saw this I sank to my knees and started to cry. Oh no, not him. Please not him. I thought in my head as I kept seeing Killua being killed by Hao. I hoped that my vision was wrong, but I knew that my visions weren’t ever wrong. But sometimes I could change the future and stop certain visions from happening, but I wasn’t sure if I’d be able to stop this one from coming true. The weird part about my vision was that it was kinda fuzzy, like there was an important element missing from it. I was confused because usually my visions were more precise, but it seemed that this vision was only going to changed if I didn’t go to the coffee shop to meet Hao. I gasped when I saw many people being killed in Ryuk’s invasion of the school and I thought I saw kenshin, hiei, mizuki-chan, and kaoru-chan among the dead bodies.  Finally my vision ended with me once again seeing killua being killed by Hao.
I ran to my room and closed the door shut. I didn’t want anyone to bother me right now. Even though I knew Saya would come in anyway and she’d comfort me. I sighed and was about to call Hao to tell him I couldn’t make it to the coffee meeting he’d set up, until suddenly I had another vision. This time it was of something totally different compared to my first vision. I saw Ryuk attacking the school, but I didn’t see a lot of people dieing. Instead, I saw that Hao and I were in some dark forest and he was smirking at me, but that’s all I saw before my vision ended. What was that all about? That vision didn’t make any sense to me at all. Could it be that my visions are being changed due to my emotions? I wondered as I held my head in pain. Whenever I had more then one vision I usually got hurt. I sighed and got dressed to meet Hao, but I made sure that if he tried anything funny, I’d get ready to defend myself.
I looked through my closet and picked out a simple red gown that I had worn at my 14th birthday party that kaoru had bought for me as a present along with my favorite red Chinese dress shoes. Even though I really wasn’t a dress and skirt type of girl, I decided to look nice just this once.
Once I’d made sure my hair was decent enough, I walked out of my room and locked the door and I headed to the coffee shop to meet up with Hao. I made sure that I left no sign that I had been in my room at all.
---------Meanwhile in Mizuki’s room------
Suddenly siyouko, miya’s guardian appears out of nowhere and she taps on the window. (Here’s a physical description of siyouko, she has long silver hair and amber-yellow eyes and she’s wearing a white dress.)
Mizuki turned to Kenshin, Mizuki and Hiei “You guys its Siya.” Kaoru said as she stared at Siyouko.
Kenshin opened the window and allowed Siya in the room.
A few minutes later…
“WHAT!” Kenshin and Kaoru shouted at the same time.
Siya “Yes, lady miya hasn’t returned to her room since class ended today and I have a feeling that she’s in danger.” Siya said in a worried tone, but only to where Kenshin and Kaoru could hear her.
Mizuki’s sixth sense came to her “Is Miya in trouble?” she asked worriedly.
Kenshin “No time to explain! Let’s go!”
He turned to Siya “Do you think you can follow Hao, Si?”
Siya nodded her head and then she made a bird out of fire. “Go with them.” She told the bird and it hopped on Kenshin’s shoulder.  Then she ran off to follow Hao.
He turned to the bird “Lead me to Killua! Kaoru, Mizuki, Hiei you three go inform the teachers about Miya---she may be in immediate danger!”
Hiei, Kaoru and Mizuki all nodded their heads “Right!” and then they ran to the teachers’ room.
“Miya…Killua…please be safe!” Kenshin thought as he raced off towards the hallway.
